If you are planning a vacation to San Francisco with your daughter, or have just a short weekend to go sight-seeing, there are a few things that you don’t want to miss in this exciting, colorful, and dynamic city by the bay.
A trip to San Francisco with your daughter just would not be complete without some photographs of the spectacular Golden Gate Bridge–the opening of the San Francisco Bay into the Pacific Ocean! Declared one of the Wonders of the Modern World by the American Society of Civil Engineers, the Golden Gate Bridge is one of the most internationally recognized symbols of San Francisco. This bridge is the symbol of Northern California, and no daughter should leave this city without a picture standing in front of it! On either end of the Golden-Gate Bridge, there are look-out points where you can park the car and take some unbelievable and fantastic pictures. For the more adventurous duos, you can even take the opportunity to walk or cycle across the bridge with your daughter! And don’t forget your headbands, because this can be one blustery city at times!
Every afternoon in San Francisco should consist of a visit to the always upbeat Pier 39 shopping and dining center, located near Fisherman’s Wharf. The Pier offers a variety of shopping and entertaining restaurants, such as Bubba Gump Shrimp Co, Crab House, and Boudin Bakery Café, which has some of the best seafood in San Francisco. You and your daughter will have hours of fun shopping, walking the water front, and taking pictures of the sea lions that pile on-top of each other right beneath the Warf!
Don’t forget to take a trolley ride with your daughter through the streets of this spectacular city! You can even end your ride by getting a giant ice-cream sundae in the famous Ghirardelli chocolate factory, all while watching the sunset over the bay.
